Accessibility

Websites today are becoming more and more governed by laws and quality standards. Just like when you buy almost anything today, it is covered by standards to ensure you are receiving a safe and usable product.

Another key development in our modern world is the access to services and information. We must not be seen to be discriminating against anyone who wishes to view online material and that includes your web site.

Accessibility is fundamental to the success of all web sites. It is not a politically correct afterthought.

At MRS we have a team of designers who fully understand the laws that govern web coding and usability.

Our philosophy is to build a single site that is accessible to as many people as possible. We design accessibility from the beginning. The investment made at this stage reaps rewards later, with lower maintenance and content management overheads.

Accessibility doesn't just mean writing good web site code. Plain English, stripped of jargon and colloquialisms, will help non-native English speakers use your site more effectively. Low graphics, and text alternatives for any content that requires an extra plug-in will allow both sight impaired users, and users of hand-held Internet devices to access your information.
