FSOS, the Fujitsu supplier ordering system. Giving greater control and better reporting for ordering of products.

The Beginning

MRS Web Solutions' sister company have been working with Fujitsu for a number of years supplying them with computer spares and legacy items. MRS were challenged to provide the staff associated with the ordering of parts a system that could make the whole process more manageable and away from the current emailing set-up.

Having already worked in the domain of supplier ordering with Fujitsu - MRS were the ideal company to implement a system that worked. It was important to find out the exact requirements of the Fujitsu staff and generate a system that made the process more streamlined with additional capabilities to aid the process.

The Middle

The new FSOS system has moved all the ordering process online. When new parts are required Fujitsu raise a part request on the system. This then emails all the suppliers requesting a quotation. The suppliers will respond which will alert the Fujitsu team of the quotes coming in. Through the easy to use interface Fujitsu will be able to quickly view all costs and select the supplier that they want to proceed with. Via system POD and returns will also be carried out giving more benefits to Fujitsu but also the suppliers.

All the orders and requests are stored securely on a database allowing Fujitsu easy to use tools to interrogate the information and generate reports that can be viewed and exported for use when reporting to management.

In The End

Still in its infancy the system is now operational and running successfully between supplier and Fujitsu.
